A Very Merry Diptyque Valentine's Day To All!

Diptyque Valentine's Day Candle Set

Today I was perusing Liberty's with my BFF Charles and came across this Diptyque candle set. Picking up one, it smelled so sweet and amazing but actually, the most amazing thing about this is that they are actually meant to be burned as a pair. One has a masculine scent (woodsy tip with Rugosa Rose, Myrrh, Peru balm, Cedar, and Sandalwood) and the other a feminine (Piaget Rose, Egyptian Basil, Blackcurrent, Violet, and Musk) one so that they intertwine and create a mixed smell. Isn't that romantic?!! I know what we're getting in our beautiful little home next!!

On A Roll!

Enough with the pictures, time for real words! Most people have seen Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat, Pray, Love by now, and for the most part, it's a wonderful film. But what really stands out to me, are the numerous quotes she has written, that may or may not have appeared in the film.

One of my favourite quotes from the film is from Giovanni, Gilbert's Italian teacher who falls in love with her friend. On Thanksgiving Day he says:

"I am thankful for fear, because for the first time in my life, I am fearful that the person sitting next to me may be the one who wants to leave."

Though at times I find myself hating that I have to feel this way, fear for me, is an indicator. Like Giovanni, it's the first time I have felt it in a relationship and it lets me know that, this time, I love the person as much as they love me.

The perfect love is a combination of both. Prim, proper, cute, romantic, and sometimes, just plain uncontrollable, shoe-less, and toe-curlingly fun.

Don't You Love...

I picked up one of my favorite books Bergdorf Blondes again recently and flipped through cause it still makes me laugh hysterically and remembered the Ali Macgraw party the park avenue princesses threw. This in turn helped me to discover the film Love Story which I did a blog about just prior to this. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but don't you love that at any given moment of any given day you can discover a new love story or something relating to love? It's such a good feeling!! Bring on the Romance!!
